So my general plan for increasing the capacity of the house battery and also being able to use that in the van while camping.
- House side
- EcoFlow STREAM Microinverter
- £99
- MPPT range
- 16-60v dc
- Start-up voltage
- 20v
- Batteries
- 12v, minimum of 2 to achieve MPPT start-up voltage
- 12v 100 Ah = 1.3 kWh @ £160 = £125 / kWh (frogstar)
- 12v 280 Ah = 3.6 kWh @ £360 = £100 / kWh (eco-worthy)
- 12v 314 Ah = 4.2 kWh @ £450 = £107 / kWh (frogstar)
- 12v 460 Ah = 5.9 kWh @ £600 = £101 / kWh (frogstar)
- Charger
- This maybe the limiting factor here, how much kW over cheap rate
- 24v 40A = ~1.0 kW @ £135 (frogstar) = 5.0 kWh (in 5 hrs)
- 48v 35A = ~1.9 kW @ £150 (frogstar) = 9.5 kWh (in 5 hrs)
- Van side
- renology mppt dc-dc charge controller 50A @ ~£200
- charge the ecoflow off van service battery (will be slow, but constant)
@ 2 x 280 Ah batteries (7.2 kWh capacity)
