  1. Find your golden time--to time when your focused and in the zone and work flows naturally--and build your day around those.
  2. Allow yourself to get bored and do nothing. disconnecting and being bored activates the default mode network which is linked to the executive network.
  3. Phone fasting
  4. Don't multitask

It's point 2 that I think I could use. When I can't start something, do nothing instead, get bored, I think this will get me into whatever it is that I need to get into.
