## what happened today

It took Jess ages to go to sleep last night. I stayed downstairs waiting for her to go to sleep and she came back down at around 01:00 saying she was worried Santa wouldn't come because we all weren't in bed and asleep. So far they've both gone to sleep at a reasonable time on Christmas eve, but Jess is getting older, and understanding it more... The milk and mince pie for Santa where just outside their rooms, she keeping watch on them for ages!

At some point in the early morning Bella came into us crying, Erin settled her and she went back to bed. Go the story out of Bella what was wrong some time later. She hurt her feet when she jumped out of bed. She thought she was in our bed, but she wasn't. She was in the top bunk with Jess!

Main presents for the girls this year, Jess got a [[Lenovo Idea Tab|Lenovo Idea Tab]] and Bella a [[Nintendo Switch|Nintendo Switch]]. Erin got me wine tasting on a train, booked for our [[2026.04.07.Sa|wedding anniversary]]. I got Erin an air fryer, as well as the other usual stuff. I could have done better than that if I hadn't left my present buying until too [[2025-12-23|late]], as usual.
