+## Appearance

+It's gold, with a flat square face, onto which there is a clear stone set in the centre of an engraved 8 point star.

+I remember either [[Albert Hodgetts|Grandad]] or [[Dorothy Hodgetts|Nana]] telling me that Grandad didn't get a wedding ring at the time of the wedding as they couldn't afford one, so Nana bought him this ring sometime after.
+
+[[Robert Mark Hodgetts|Dad]] gave it to me on [[2025-12-07|2025-12-07]], at the time saying he could always remember Grandad wearing it, since he was a kid. He gave it to me in a red ring box, which he says is the original. It has an address on the inside of the lid of [[J.W.Cartwright & Son Ltd.]]
