# How to Take Smart Notes by Sonke Ahrens

The [[zettelkasten]] is a note taking system that builds your notes from the bottom up. It lets you take the idea you read and embed it in this network of knowledge. One that servers you in all your goals, from learning, to reading, too writing.

He creates a folder called tags, and each 'tag' is a link to note in that folder. I don't think that he uses tags, but links instead, that link to a note.
